What to see and do
Montmartre was a village of windmills and vineyards until Paris grew up around it. One vineyard is still there, on the north slope behind the Sacré-Cœur, and it is still harvested every October. Climb inside the dome and the city opens out flat below you, all the way to La Défense.
The bay around Mont-Saint-Michel has one of the largest tidal ranges in Europe, close to fifteen metres between low and high water. Twice a day the sea takes back the sand it left behind, and on the strongest tides the rock becomes an island again for a few hours.
The Loire is the last large river in France left to run more or less as it pleases, with sandbanks that shift from one year to the next. A waymarked cycle route follows it for some nine hundred kilometres, almost entirely flat, past Chambord, Amboise and Chenonceau.
Lavender on the Valensole plateau flowers from mid June to mid July, later as you gain altitude, and it is cut in the weeks that follow. The same field is a sheet of blue or a stubble of grey depending on the fortnight you arrive, which is why the dates matter more than the month.
Nice faces due south across the Baie des Anges, and that light is what pulled in Matisse, Chagall and Dufy. The Promenade des Anglais runs seven kilometres along a shore of grey pebbles, and behind it the old town still holds its morning market on the cours Saleya.
Bordeaux turned its back on the Garonne for two centuries, then cleaned the stone and laid a sheet of water in front of it. The miroir d’eau floods and drains through the day, doubling the eighteenth-century façades of the place de la Bourse. The first vineyards start half an hour out of town.

How Much Does It Cost to Have Someone Plan a Trip to France?
Our trips start between 885 € and 1 970 € per person, published on each trip page, and a typical week lands around 1 500 € to 2 000 € per person on a party of four. The planning itself is not billed separately: it is part of the price, along with the bookings and the support during your stay. Meals and international flights are not included.
Do You Charge a Fee Just for the Itinerary?
No. We do not sell itineraries on their own, and we do not bill by the hour. We design the trip and we book it, and the design is part of the price of the trip. If you only want a document to book yourself, we are not the right people.
Who Sells and Books the Trip?
Collectif My Way, the Atout France registered operator we belong to (IM059190009). It signs the travel contract with you and its financial guarantee covers the sums you pay. Itinerary France designs the trip, makes the bookings and looks after you during the stay.
I Do Not Have My Dates Yet. Is It Too Early to Write?
No, and it is often the better moment. The choice of hotels, guides and tables is widest several months ahead, especially in summer. If your dates are still open, tell us the season and roughly how long you have, and we will advise on the period rather than assume one.
Can You Start From an Itinerary I Already Have?
Yes, and it saves time. Send us what you have drafted, whatever state it is in. We will tell you what works, what we would reorder and why, and what we would drop to give the rest room to breathe.
Will You Remain Available During the Trip?
Yes. You will have a dedicated contact for the services we have organized and for any difficulties that may affect your itinerary. The precise terms of this support are explained in your proposal and travel documents.
