Private Day Trip from Avignon: Van Gogh, Arles & Pont du Gard from Avignon
I designed this tour so you can see several major sites without stressing over parking or navigation. From Avignon, I'll drive you through the Alpilles, down to Arles, and finally to the Pont du Gard, keeping a comfortable and realistic pace for your group.

About this tour
In the morning, we head into the Alpilles mountains. In Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, I'll show you the old town and the places that left a mark on Van Gogh. Next, we drive up to Les Baux-de-Provence so you can experience this spectacular perched village and its panoramic views.
After lunch, we move on to Arles. I'll guide you through the historic center, pointing out the major Roman landmarks and the spots that inspired Van Gogh's paintings. To end the day on a high note, I'll take you to the Pont du Gard to appreciate the sheer size and natural setting of this incredible Roman aqueduct.

- • I keep the schedule flexible. We can adjust the order and duration of the stops based on the weather and your energy levels.
- • The streets in Les Baux-de-Provence and Arles are uneven and paved with stones, so comfortable footwear is highly recommended.
- • If you want to go inside any paid monuments or museums, you can decide on the spot and buy tickets there.
- • During the peak heat of summer, I schedule the most sun-exposed stops for earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon.
